INTRODUCING A NEW PERSPECTIVE ON HEALTHCARE
SAN JOSE, July 22, 2002 - In an age
when healthcare is discussed in terms of "crisis" and
patient care is sacrificed due to rising costs, it is hard to find
exceptional care at affordable rates. Sunday, August 25th marks
the grand opening of an office that hopes to reverse this trend.
At Rize Healing Arts in San Jose, four women have come together
to offer an effective alternative by providing concierge-style care
in a beautiful and relaxing office environment. With specialties
in chiropractic treatment, massage therapies and health counseling,
these women provide more than pain relief, they provide a more healthy
life.
Dr. Amy Allen, D.C., Shelby Bearschild,
C.M.T, Mercedes Tracy, C.M.T., and Tracy Supnet, C.M.T. recently
joined their respective practices to form Rize Healing Arts.
Some of the therapies they offer are trigger point therapy, chiropractic
treatments, maternity massage, lymphatic drainage, ultrasound, joint
mobilization, reflexology, acupressure, and Swedish/deep tissue
massage to name a few. The three massage therapists in the office
have over 1300 hours of training and 11 years of experience to draw
from, and have an ongoing commitment to maintaining their education.
Dr. Allen is continuing to expand her capabilities with a Master's
degree in Ergonomics, which will allow her to counsel patients on
injury prevention in the workplace. She also works to educate the
public on health improvement with a monthly column in the Cambrian
Times newspaper.
Along with a dedication to well being,
Rize Healing Arts has demonstrated a strong commitment to
the community of San Jose. Their monthly "Survivor Night"-
a free day of massage therapy, chiropractic treatment, and health
counseling is devoted to caring for those who have won their battle
with breast cancer. With the generous support of local businesses
they create a social environment with music and refreshments, where
survivors can come for a relaxing day of health improvement. "This
year we raised $13,550 for the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk, and
had the opportunity to walk with some amazing people who were very
inspirational to us," said Shelby Bearschild, C.M.T. "This
gives us another way to honor their bravery throughout the rest
of the year."
Rize Healing Arts is located
at the intersection of South Bascom Ave and Woodard St. in San Jose.
The opening of the clinic will last from 12 - 4 p.m. and will include
live music and refreshements. For more information, please call
Shelby Bearschild at (408) 371-7300 or Dr. Amy Allen at 408-559-4059.
